Back in 1993 Fender unveiled it’s ‘Tweed’ series amplifiers with great success and much acclaim. They were looking quality & sounded brilliant. The concept was to create a great new version of the highly collectable 1950s Deluxe or Bassman, along with customized channel switching & reverb. So here we have it, the Fender Reissue Blues Deluxe – a vintage-style tube amplifier with a boutique tone.

These amplifiers have been used by many pros, be it rock, country or blues, whatever your style of choice may be, this amp will go for it. While the Hot Rod Deluxe has more modern refinements, more and more so the Reissue is getting attention, with it’s warm tone, unique circuitry alongside the classic features and that sharp tweed covering.

Now, before I begin, I should tell you that this amplifier is limited to only 25 units in the whole country - that means that if you want one, you'd better get in quick!

The Fender FSR Blues Deluxe Reissue Amplifier Smoky Tweed sends 40 watts of power into a single 12’’ Special Design Eminence speaker, which is fuelled by two 6L6 output tubes alongside three 12AX7 preamp tubes. With two channels, ‘normal’ which has the classic Fender ‘bright’ switch, and then ‘drive’, which is voiced for classic blues, rock and rock, country, you name it, you got it. A Fender spring reverb. Effects loop and two-button channel footswitch, a great look with tweed covering, ‘chicken head’ pointer knobs and a chrome control panel. Why would you not want it???

We’re talking all tube preamp & power amp, an output of 40 watts, 1-12’’ Special Design Eminence 8 ohm, 50-watt speaker, the whole she-bang. The Tweed covering looks amazing, and extremely classy, and the power that comes from this combo needs to be heard to be believed!

So how good is it? I had a chance to sit down and play it the other day, and let me tell you this - it's one of the best amplifiers I've ever played through! My Tele sounded amazing through it especially, this amp delivers Fender's trademark chiming cleans like nobody's business - but crank it up and run a Les Paul through it and it's a monster! It's really versatile, and both the tone and the look are utterly classic. Love it!

This would be great for a gigging amp, and isn’t too heavy to be taking around on tour. The Drive channel has always been a favourite of mine, and we love the bite that you get from it, with a bit of gain and presence. We thoroughly recommend getting down to our flagship music store in Leicester and giving this baby a spin!
